Hemp flour is obtained by grinding nutritious hemp press - mass which we call 'hemp cake'. Hemp flour contains 40% fiber, which is one of the highest fiber content of all known types of flour. Hemp flour is gluten-free and contains about 30% protein suitable for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free diet. Hemp flour is also a source of folic acid, copper, iron, zinc and vitamin B6.

Hemp flour is relatively heavy due to is high vegetable oil content, so it is added to the dough at a maximum of 10-20%. If you are replacing flour in your own proven recipes, we recommend you to start carefully (1:7 ratio) and gradually experiment with more. Since the flour itself is dark - make sure that you pay attention to baking time to prevent burning.
